In der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dasautoblog.com\/2009\/09\/iaa-2009-weltpremiere-des-wiesmann-roadster-mf5.html\">Sonderserie<\/a> verzichtet der  MX-5 komplett auf Windschutzscheibe, Dach, Seitenscheiben und weitere Schutzmechanismen gegen jegliche Umwelteinfl\u00c3\u00bcsse.<\/div>\n<p>   Von der Motorisierung her bleibt alles wie bei Altbekanntem. Der MX-5 Superlight wird von einem 1,8 Liter gro\u00c3en Vierzylinder mit 126 PS angetrieben, wobei gleichzeitig das  Gewicht des MX-5 um rund 100 Kilogramm auf knapp unter eine Tonne reduziert wurde. Von einer Sonderserie kann man bei dem Superlight eigentlich nicht sprechen, da es nur ein einziges Exemplar gibt.
