Laut dem Portal &#8220;Green Car Congress&#8221; sind die vielen Vorbestellungen f\u00c3\u00bcr das \u00c3\u00bcberarbeitete Modell der Grund f\u00c3\u00bcr die Steigerung der Produktion. Demnach sollen anstatt 40.000 jetzt insgesamt rund 50.000 Einheiten des <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dasautoblog.com\/2009\/01\/video-der-neue.html\">Prius<\/a> monatlich das <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dasautoblog.com\/2009\/03\/vw-neues-werk-in-indien-er%C3%B6ffnet.html\">Werk <\/a>verlassen. <\/p>\n<p>Schon wenige Wochen nach dem offiziellen Bestellstart belaufen sich die Vorbestellungen auf \u00c3\u00bcber 40.000 Fahrzeuge. Auch der neue Prius ist ein sogenannter Vollhybrid, der rund 1,5 Kilometer rein elektrisches fahren kann, danach schaltet sich automatisch der 1,8-Liter-Vierzylinder-Motor dazu.
