Die Verbindung der beiden Unternehmen besteht bereits seit 25 Jahren als New United Manufacturing (NUMMI). Diese betreibt ein Werk im kalifornischen Fremont. Dort werden unter anderem die Toyota-Modelle Corolla und Tacoma und der Pontiac Vibe von GM gefertigt. Die Produktion des Pontiac Vibe soll aber in den kommenden 60 Tagen einstellt werden.\u00a0<\/div>\n<p> <span> <\/span>   <\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;Toyota wolle in dem Werk weiter die Modelle Corolla und Tacoma fertigen&#8221;, sagte Toyota-Sprecher Mike Goss.
