Cette g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie secondaire a consomm\u00e9 dans les 42% des \u00e9nergies primaires, auxquelles il faut ajouter tout le p\u00e9trole pour les transports et la p\u00e9trochimie et 70% du gaz et une petite fraction du charbon consomm\u00e9s pour des applications de chauffage ou de m\u00e9tallurgie pour obtenir la totalit\u00e9 des \u00e9nergies primaires consomm\u00e9es aux Etats-Unis. Parler de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine c&rsquo;est parler d&rsquo;un peu moins de la moiti\u00e9 de la consommation globale d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie primaire, il ne faut pas oublier ce d\u00e9tail pour \u00e9viter de se m\u00e9langer les pinceaux.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Dans cette g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique le charbon se taille encore la part du lion avec 48% (FIG.). <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/electricitusa20081.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"417\" alt=\"Electricitusa2008\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/electricitusa2008.jpg\" width=\"480\"  \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Puis vient le gaz naturel (22%), le nucl\u00e9aire (20%) et les \u00e9nergies renouvelables (9%). <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Au sein des \u00e9nergies renouvelables (petite figure dans la grande), la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration hydro\u00e9lectrique occupe les deux tiers du petit camembert (65%) puis vient l&rsquo;utilisation du bois qui br\u00fble tr\u00e8s bien dans une centrale au charbon (16%),m\u00e9thode la plus simple d&rsquo;utilisation de la biomasse, et enfin en troisi\u00e8me position seulement , celle dont on nous casse les oreilles, l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne qui a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 11% seulement des sources renouvelables. Avec 0,124 MWh d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par jour, <u>l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne US a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 1,1%<\/u> de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration globale d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine.
