Le plus connu et le plus ancien de ces proc\u00e9d\u00e9s existants est celui de Sasol utilisant le charbon d&rsquo;Afrique du Sud, les plus spectaculaires seront les unit\u00e9s de conversion de gaz naturel en liquides (Pearl, Oryx) au Qatar (<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/pearl-un-vaste.html_.png\">LIRE<\/a>). Le National Energy Technology Laboratory qui d\u00e9pend du Department of Energy am\u00e9ricain vient de publier une \u00e9tude qui \u00e9value les co\u00fbts des carburants et les \u00e9missions de CO2 &quot;du gisement \u00e0 la roue&quot; de proc\u00e9d\u00e9s CTL dans lesquels serait introduite une partie de biomasse.<a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2009\/02\/07\/ctlbilandoe2009.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"271\" alt=\"Ctlbilandoe2009\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/ctlbilandoe2009.jpg\" width=\"446\"  \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Cette \u00e9tude montre tout d&rsquo;abord (TAB.) que le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 CTL de type Sasol sans capture et s\u00e9questration de CO2 est INACCEPTABLE. La synth\u00e8se du carburant par ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e9met pr\u00e8s de deux fois plus de CO2 que sa combustion. Rappelons que Sasol exporte son proc\u00e9d\u00e9 et qu&rsquo;il l&rsquo;a pour l&rsquo;instant vendu \u00e0 la Chine et l&rsquo;Indon\u00e9sie qui voit ses gisements p\u00e9troliers s&rsquo;\u00e9puiser. Cette diss\u00e9mination d&rsquo;un tel proc\u00e9d\u00e9 sans capture du CO2, devrait \u00eatre condamn\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9, \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&rsquo;un dispositif de capture et de stockage du CO2 (CCS), recyclant lui m\u00eame les fractions l\u00e9g\u00e8res d&rsquo;hydrocarbures gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un &quot;autothermal reformer&quot; (ATR) et une conversion \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau du CO en CO2 (WGS) suivi d&rsquo;une capture du CO2 \u00e0 la methyldi\u00e9thanolamine (MDEA) d\u00e9crits en rouge dans le sch\u00e9ma (FIG.II) conduit \u00e0 capter plus de 96% du CO2 form\u00e9. Aliment\u00e9 au seul charbon, il conduit \u00e0 un bilan CO2 l\u00e9g\u00e8rement meilleur que celui moyenn\u00e9 de l&rsquo;exploitation des ressources p\u00e9troli\u00e8res non \u00e9quip\u00e9es de CCS. Par contre ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 n&rsquo;est \u00e9conomiquement viable qu&rsquo;\u00e0 partir d&rsquo;un prix du baril du produit fini autour de 92 dollars.<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/ctlbtlflowdiagram1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"309\" alt=\"Ctlbtlflowdiagram\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/ctlbtlflowdiagram.jpg\" width=\"480\"  \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Enfin, bas\u00e9e sur des hypoth\u00e8ses d&rsquo;approvisionnement de biomasses \u00e0 partir de switchgrass et en limitant leur proportion pour tenir compte des probl\u00e8mes d&rsquo;approvisionnement, l&rsquo;\u00e9tude montre que l&rsquo;introduction de 8 \u00e0 15% de biomasse dans le proc\u00e9d\u00e9, am\u00e9liore fortement le bilan carbone global qui devient inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 la seule combustion des carburants produits. Par contre compte tenu des co\u00fbts d&rsquo;approvisionnement en biomasse et des accroissements d&rsquo;investissements pour avoir une unit\u00e9 mixte CTL et BTL ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 ne devient rentable qu&rsquo;\u00e0 partir d&rsquo;un prix des produits finis de 117 dollars le baril environ.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Que signifie en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 cette \u00e9tude?
