Parmi ces co\u00fbts l&rsquo;\u00e9tude recense les atteintes aux infrastructures, les accidents, les embouteillages, le bruit et les \u00e9missions de gaz (FIG.). L&rsquo;\u00e9tude rapproche ce co\u00fbt estim\u00e9 aux taxes pay\u00e9es par le transport routier de marchandises qui atteint annuellement 54 milliards d&rsquo;euros. <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/coutsexternestransportroutier.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2009\/01\/19\/coutsexternestransportroutier_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"279\" alt=\"Coutsexternestransportroutier_2\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/coutsexternestransportroutier_2.jpg\" width=\"480\"  \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;A partir des <u>2 milliards de tonne-km de transport routier de marchandises<\/u> et sur la base d&rsquo;un emport moyen par camion de 6,5 tonnes de chargement et du coefficient de remplissage inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 0,5 (retour \u00e0 vide, camion mal utilis\u00e9, etc.) les auteurs de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude estiment grossi\u00e8rement les \u00e9missions de CO2&nbsp; \u00e0 <span style=\"color: #000099\"><strong>220 millions de tonnes<\/strong> <\/span>pour 2009 ce qui repr\u00e9sente 25% environ de la totalit\u00e9 des \u00e9missions du transport routier en Europe (FIG.). Les \u00e9missions annuelles totales de CO2 en Europe \u00e9tant estim\u00e9es \u00e0 4,3 milliards de tonnes, les \u00e9missions dues aux d\u00e9placements des poids lourds en Europe repr\u00e9sentent donc <strong><span style=\"color: #000099\">5% environ des rejets de CO2.<\/span><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/co2missionstransporteurope_21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"353\" alt=\"Co2missionstransporteurope_2\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/co2missionstransporteurope_2.jpg\" width=\"480\"  \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2009\/01\/19\/co2missionstransporteurope.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Il appara\u00eet clairement qu&rsquo;une politique de r\u00e9duction des rejets gazeux par les transports terrestres qui invaliderait les pr\u00e9visions de cette \u00e9tude, doit s&rsquo;adresser \u00e9galement au trafic des poids lourds et non pas aux seuls v\u00e9hicules l\u00e9gers. Les autorit\u00e9s europ\u00e9ennes se doivent de fixer des objectifs aux constructeurs de poids lourds qui par des actions du type all\u00e8gement des structures, r\u00e9duction de la tra\u00een\u00e9e, r\u00e9duction de la r\u00e9sistance au roulement, am\u00e9lioration des rendements des moteurs et hybridation des v\u00e9hicules urbains par exemple peuvent tendre vers des consommations r\u00e9duites d&rsquo;un tiers par rapport \u00e0 celles des v\u00e9hicules aujourd&rsquo;hui les plus modernes.
