Les cours de ces m\u00e9taux ne cessant d&rsquo;augmenter, Renault-Nissan ont mis au point une nouvelle formulation de catalyseur permettant de <u>r\u00e9duire par deux la quantit\u00e9 de ces m\u00e9taux pr\u00e9cieux<\/u> tout en am\u00e9liorant les performances catalytiques. Les \u00e9tudes ont port\u00e9 sur les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes de vieillissement des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s catalytiques \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature (900\u00b0C \u00e0 100\u00b0C) qui obligent \u00e0 surpond\u00e9rer la teneur initiale en catalyseur pour tenir compte de ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes. Or ces vieillissements sont dus \u00e0 des s\u00e9gr\u00e9gations des m\u00e9taux pr\u00e9cieux sous forme de clusters (FIG.).
