D&rsquo;apr\u00e8s lui il y aurait <u>1,6 milliards de t\u00e9l\u00e9viseurs<\/u>, d&rsquo;une puissance moyenne de 76W et qui consommeraient, \u00e0 raison d&rsquo;un peu moins de 4 heures par jour&nbsp; de fonctionnement, dans les <u>189 Twh d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique par an<\/u>. C&rsquo;est \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de courant de toutes les \u00e9oliennes du monde qui auraient produit en 2007 dans les 200 TWh d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s la World Wind Energy Association, soit 0,4% de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie consomm\u00e9e sur terre. En 2012 il se vendra 250 millions d&rsquo;appareils dont 70% seront des \u00e9crans plats \u00e0 cristaux liquides (LCD). En 2020 il y aura 2,9 milliards de t\u00e9l\u00e9viseurs en service dans le monde<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; L&rsquo;objectif de Sharp est&nbsp; poursuivre ses progr\u00e8s sur la d\u00e9croissance des consommations des t\u00e9l\u00e9viseurs afin de maintenir ou mieux de faire d\u00e9cro\u00eetre leur consommation \u00e9lectrique globale, malgr\u00e9 l&rsquo;augmentation des surfaces d&rsquo;\u00e9crans. Pour ne pas voir les consommations s&rsquo;envoler \u00e0 l&rsquo;horizon 2020, il faudrait que les puissances consomm\u00e9es moyennes par t\u00e9l\u00e9viseur descendent en dessous de 50 Watts. Sharp imagine des puissances consomm\u00e9es qui pourraient \u00eatre inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 ce seuil. Une r\u00e9duction des consommations moyennes vers 33 Watts permettrait de ramener la consommation globale mondiale vers les 130 TWh soit une baisse d&rsquo;un tiers des consommations par rapport \u00e0 aujourd&rsquo;hui.
