Panasonic p\u00e8se 9000 milliards de Yens et Sanyo 2000. L&rsquo;ensemble constituerait le plus grand Groupe japonais dans le domaine de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectronique. Mais l\u00e0 o\u00f9 un tel rapprochement serait vraiment dangereux, c&rsquo;est le domaine des batteries. Sanyo est le N\u00b01 mondial, Panasonic le N\u00b02 dans les petites batteries, c&rsquo;est l&rsquo;inverse dans les batteries Ni-MH pour voitures hybrides. La fusion des deux Groupes formerait un \u00e9norme leader mondial dans les batteries qui monopoliserait le march\u00e9 et surtout <u>aurait la main sur tout le r\u00e9seau de sous-traitance japonais<\/u> qui pouvait, jusque l\u00e0, travailler pour l&rsquo;un ou pour l&rsquo;autre. Panasonic mettrait \u00e9galement un pied dans l&rsquo;industrie en plein d\u00e9veloppement du photovolta\u00efque o\u00f9 Sanyo poss\u00e8de une place honorable. Les actionnaires de Sanyo qui sont les banquiers Sumitomo Mitsui, Daiwa et Goldman Sachs se donnent jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la fin de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e pour trouver un accord avec Panasonic.
