Ces op\u00e9rations am\u00e9liorent la rentabilit\u00e9 de leurs unit\u00e9s, permettent de produire plus de carburant par baril et utilisent les p\u00e9troles lourds les moins convoit\u00e9s et donc les moins chers. Mais ces unit\u00e9s doivent d\u00e9livrer des produits r\u00e8glement\u00e9s de plus en plus sophistiqu\u00e9s et \u00e0 tr\u00e8s faible teneur en Soufre. Cette apparente contradiction entre faible qualit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e et tr\u00e8s haute qualit\u00e9 \u00e0 la sortie des raffineries, est en particulier r\u00e9solue par apport d&rsquo;Hydrog\u00e8ne. Il est utilis\u00e9 dans les op\u00e9rations d&rsquo;hydrod\u00e9sulfuration qui \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un catalyseur de type MoS2, de l&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne sous pression (jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 200 bars) et des hautes temp\u00e9ratures (jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 450\u00b0C), permettent d&rsquo;extraire le soufre sous fourme H2S. Cet hydrog\u00e8ne suppl\u00e9mentaire est obtenu essentiellement par steam reforming du m\u00e9thane avec formation de CO2 et de H2.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Exxon vient de signer un accord de fourniture d&rsquo;Hydrog\u00e8ne pour sa raffinerie de B\u00e2ton Rouge avec Air Products qui dispose d&rsquo;un large r\u00e9seau d&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne en Louisiane. Pour satisfaire \u00e0 cette demande suppl\u00e9mentaire Technip et Air Products vont construire leur trenti\u00e8me unit\u00e9 de production d&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne aux USA. Technip construit les \u00e9quipements de reforming et Air Products apporte sa technologie de s\u00e9paration des gaz pour obtenir l&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne pur. Cette unit\u00e9 sera en production en Mars 2010.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Les contraintes \u00e9cologiques sur la puret\u00e9 des carburants ont leur revers de la m\u00e9daille.
