Le d\u00e9veloppement de leur parc de centrales nucl\u00e9aires est appel\u00e9 \u00e0 conna\u00eetre une nouvelle phase d&rsquo;expansion.&nbsp; L&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat des constructeurs de centrales \u00e9lectronucl\u00e9aires fran\u00e7ais ou japonais pour les futurs projets am\u00e9ricains est donc toujours aussi vif. Pour ces Groupes, une des fa\u00e7ons d&#8217;emporter un march\u00e9 est de s&rsquo;associer financi\u00e8rement avec l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricien local, pour lui avancer ou l&rsquo;aider \u00e0 rassembler une partie des investissements au long cours n\u00e9cessaires. Par exemple, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, un des leaders mondiaux dans le domaine, vient de d\u00e9cider de cr\u00e9er un joint venture avec Luminant, un exploitant de centrales \u00e9lectriques du Texas et filiale du Groupe Energy Future Holdings. Leur projet commun est l&rsquo;extension de la centrale \u00e9lectronucl\u00e9aire de Comanche Peak pr\u00e8s de Glen Rose au Texas. Ce projet consisterait \u00e0 ajouter aux deux r\u00e9acteurs d\u00e9j\u00e0 existants sur le site, deux nouveaux r\u00e9acteurs de 1700 MWe de technologie avanc\u00e9e \u00e0 eau pressuris\u00e9e&nbsp; (APWR).
