En 2007 elles se sont \u00e9chelonn\u00e9es entre 3,7 et 4,2 millions de tonnes. Le volume mondial de production d&rsquo;Aluminium en 2007 a \u00e9t\u00e9 aux environs de 39 MT, domin\u00e9 par les productions chinoises qui ont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 un tiers du total. Un autre tiers est donc d\u00e9tenu par ces trois groupes. Les r\u00e9sultats semestriels de production d&rsquo;Alcoa avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s bons avec une croissance de 12,5% par rapport au m\u00eame semestre 2007 (FIG. en rouge). Par contre les r\u00e9sultats de production du Groupe Rio Tinto Alcan qui viennent d&rsquo;\u00eatre publi\u00e9s sont tr\u00e8s d\u00e9cevants, avec une pseudo croissance de 1,3% obtenue apr\u00e8s avoir enlev\u00e9 les volumes produits en 2007 par l&rsquo;usine de Lannemezan, ferm\u00e9e depuis, et ceux d&rsquo;une autre unit\u00e9 n\u00e9erlandaise d\u00e9sinvestie. Ces m\u00e9diocres r\u00e9sultats d&rsquo;Alcan sont imput\u00e9s \u00e0 des incidents dans les unit\u00e9s de production et \u00e0 des manques chroniques de puissance \u00e9lectrique en Nouvelle Z\u00e9lande, en raison de la s\u00e8cheresse.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Il ne serait pas donc impossible que l&rsquo;ordre hi\u00e9rarchique des producteurs d&rsquo;Aluminium soit transform\u00e9 au profit d&rsquo;Alcoa qui devrait doubler Alcan au poteau en 2008.
