Elle produit annuellement 148 TWh d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 97% d&rsquo;origine thermique. Pour essentiellement cela, elle consomme 86 millions de tonnes de charbon et 61 millions de tonnes de lignite. Ses entreprises sous quotas d&rsquo;\u00e9missions ont \u00e9mis 210 millions de tonnes de CO2, soit 65% des \u00e9missions de ce pays. Dans son rapport d&rsquo;activit\u00e9 du premier semestre, l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricien allemand <strong><span style=\"color: #3300cc\">RWE<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp; indique qu&rsquo;il vient de signer un accord avec le Groupe polonais <span style=\"color: #3300cc\"><strong>Compania Weglowa<\/strong> <\/span>qui est le plus grand producteur de charbon d&rsquo;Europe. Dans cet accord il est pr\u00e9vu de construire une usine moderne de production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 de 800MW de puissance \u00e9lectrique d\u00e9tenue \u00e0 75% par RWE et \u00e0 25% par son partenaire qui sera le fournisseur de combustible. Cette centrale pr\u00e9sentera un rendement de conversion de <strong><span style=\"color: #3300cc\">46%<\/span><\/strong> ce qui repr\u00e9sente une am\u00e9lioration de 31% par rapport \u00e0 la moyenne des centrales thermiques polonaises que RWE estime \u00e0 35%. On peut estimer que cette centrale qui va consommer 24% de charbon en moins qu&rsquo;une centrale moyenne polonaise, va \u00e9mettre annuellement 1,5 MT de CO2 de moins pour une production de 6 TWh environ. Ce projet est tout \u00e0 fait exemplaire de ce qu&rsquo;il faut faire en Europe, cependant il pr\u00e9sente un grave d\u00e9faut: sa mise en construction est pr\u00e9vue pour 2011 et son d\u00e9marrage en 2015. D\u00e9finitivement trop loin dans le temps!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Question pos\u00e9e aux grands strat\u00e8ges de la Commission Europ\u00e9enne en charge de l&rsquo;Energie: que faudrait-il faire pour d\u00e9multiplier et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer ce genre de projets en Europe? L&rsquo;Europe pourrait-elle \u00e9laborer un grand plan de d\u00e9mant\u00e8lement et de remplacement&nbsp; des centrales \u00e9lectriques les plus polluantes, au GWh \u00e9lectrique produit, en Italie, en Gr\u00e8ce, en Espagne, au Portugal, aux Pays-Bas, en Allemagne, etc.. Il y a des centaines de millions de tonnes de charbon \u00e0 \u00e9conomiser et de CO2 \u00e0 ne pas larguer dans l&rsquo;Azur.
