Il poss\u00e8de, entre autre, une puissance de production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 de 9 gigawatts r\u00e9partie dans 83 centrales \u00e9lectriques et 60% de cette puissance install\u00e9e est de nature \u00e9lectronucl\u00e9aire, avec 5 r\u00e9acteurs situ\u00e9s sur trois sites. EDF est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 Constellation pour la d\u00e9finition, la construction et l&rsquo;exploitation de futures centrales de type EPR aux Etats-Unis, par l&rsquo;interm\u00e9diaire de leur filiale UniStar Nuclear Energy (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogenergie.com\/2008\/08\/la-russie-veut.html\">LIRE<\/a>). EDF qui poss\u00e8de 4,97% des actions de Constellations a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de porter progressivement sa participation \u00e0 9,9% par des achats d&rsquo;actions en Bourse. Des discussions seraient en cours entre les deux Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s pour \u00e9ventuellement renforcer plus encore leur rapprochement, dans le cadre des lois am\u00e9ricaines.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Une alliance entre les deux Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s dans un grand pays qui va devoir d\u00e9velopper ses ressources \u00e9lectronucl\u00e9aires a du sens pour les deux Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s.
