En comparaison EDF dispose en France d&rsquo;une puissance \u00e9lectronucl\u00e9aire de 63 GW et qui, en 2007, ont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 418 TWh d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique. La taille du parc russe, renomm\u00e9 pour son caract\u00e8re surann\u00e9, est donc environ \u00e9gale au tiers de celle du parc fran\u00e7ais. Le Ministre du D\u00e9veloppement Economique russe vient de pr\u00e9senter un plan pour porter cette capacit\u00e9 de production entre 28 et 36 GW durant la p\u00e9riode 2012-2015, puis d&rsquo;atteindre 50 \u00e0 53 GW en 2020 de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 \u00eatre capable de produire, \u00e0 cette date, 20 \u00e0 22% de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. Ce plan envisagerait \u00e9galement de pouvoir exporter certains \u00e9quipements et technologies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; On le voit, les progr\u00e8s russes dans le domaine sont tr\u00e8s lents, m\u00eame si dans ce plan il est envisag\u00e9 de franchir le pas vers la technologie \u00e0 neutrons rapides et vers un cycle de combustible nucl\u00e9aire boucl\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; De leur c\u00f4t\u00e9, les plans am\u00e9ricains avancent \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s lentement, englu\u00e9s dans des proc\u00e9dures complexes, d&rsquo;une rare lenteur et les \u00e9ch\u00e9ances politiques. Le consortium 50\/50 EDF-Constellation, Unistar Nuclear Energy, vient juste de demander, dans le cadre du 2005 Energy Policy Act, une garantie financi\u00e8re f\u00e9d\u00e9rale au Department of Energy pour un montant total de 9 milliards de dollars (hors frais financiers). L&rsquo;industriel souhaite obtenir un accord de principe en 2009, mais l&rsquo;accord final ne devrait arriver qu&rsquo;entre 2010 et 2012!!
