Parmi les plus actifs les universitaires australiens <a href=\"Michael Borowitzka \" target=\"_self\">Borowitzka<\/a> et Lewis viennent d&#039;\u00e9tablir une Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9e par Rio Tinto: <span style=\"color: #0000bf\"><strong>Muradel<\/strong><\/span> dont l&#039;objectif est de concr\u00e9tiser industriellement un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 qui est en cours de mise au point sur leur pilote de photosynth\u00e8se de Karratha (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adelaide.edu.au\/news\/news42922.html\" target=\"_blank\">LIRE<\/a>). Borowitzka annonce qu&#039;il sait faire par cette voie du carburant \u00e0 3$ le litre et que son objectif industriel est de descendre \u00e0 un dollar (<a href=\"http:\/\/au.news.yahoo.com\/thewest\/a\/-\/wa\/8712210\/salty-ponds-boost-algae-growth\/\" target=\"_blank\">LIRE<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>-l&#039;autre voie repose sur la conversion directe du CO2 en alcanes \u00e0 l&#039;aide de cyanobact\u00e9ries g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9es (FIG., sch\u00e9ma sup\u00e9rieur). Cette voie dont le leader semble \u00eatre la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine Joule pr\u00e9sente l&#039;int\u00e9r\u00eat de conduire directement au carburant d\u00e9sir\u00e9 qui serait s\u00e9par\u00e9 par simple d\u00e9cantation du bouillon de culture. Le Pr Hess de l&#039;Iniversit\u00e9 Alberts Ludwig de Freibourg a initi\u00e9 en 2010 un <a href=\"http:\/\/www.directfuel.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">programme d&#039;\u00e9tude europ\u00e9en<\/a> portant sur la synth\u00e8se de propane par cette voie. En Californie des \u00e9quipes travaillent \u00e9galement sur la synth\u00e8se d&#039;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biofuelsdigest.com\/blog2\/index.php\/2009\/12\/11\/fuel-from-thin-air-redux-no-biomass-no-extraction-no-kidding\/\" target=\"_blank\">isobutanol<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.a\/6a00d83451b18369e2014e8631fb96970d-pi\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Rendements conversion directe\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d83451b18369e2014e8631fb96970d\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/6a00d83451b18369e2014e8631fb96970d-450wi.jpg\" style=\"width: 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#160;D&#039;apr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudes papier r\u00e9centes de Joule il appara\u00eet que cette voie de conversion directe qui se dispense de d\u00e9velopper et de r\u00e9colter les algues pr\u00e9senterait un bilan \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique largement sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui de la premi\u00e8re. Les auteurs annoncent un rendement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de conversion th\u00e9orique de 12% (FIG.II, diagramme de droite) et pratique de 7,2% (diagramme central). Ces valeurs sont \u00e0 comparer aux rendement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de 1,5% estim\u00e9 pour la voie photochimique classique indirecte de r\u00e9colte de biomasse (diagramme de gauche).<\/p>\n<p>&#160;Ce travail th\u00e9orique semble convaincant et bien \u00e9tay\u00e9 mais il serait encore plus probant de disposer des r\u00e9sultats pratiques d&#039;un pilote industriel qui analyseraient les productions de biodiesel sur une p\u00e9riode significative de fonctionnement.
