Dans le cadre de ce plan la Sonatrach vient d&rsquo;attribuer un contrat de construction d&rsquo;une unit\u00e9 de liqu\u00e9faction de gaz dans le port d&rsquo;Arzew, \u00e0 un consortium constitu\u00e9 de l&rsquo;italien Snamprogetti et du japonais Chiyoda. Cette unit\u00e9 qui doit \u00eatre construite en quatre ans aura une capacit\u00e9 de liqu\u00e9faction de 4,7 millions de tonnes par an ou 10 millions de m3 de gaz liquide. Un m\u00e9thanier moderne ayant une capacit\u00e9 d&#8217;emport de 100 \u00e0 200 mille m3, ce sont donc entre 50 et 100 chargements de GNL qui pourront ainsi \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9s chaque ann\u00e9e. Le contrat avait \u00e9t\u00e9 initialement attribu\u00e9 au britannique Petrofac associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un groupe indon\u00e9sien qui n&rsquo;a pas pu pr\u00e9senter dans les temps, les garanties n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la bonne ex\u00e9cution des travaux.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Les livraisons de gaz sous forme liqu\u00e9fi\u00e9e donnent au producteur un large degr\u00e9 de libert\u00e9 de n\u00e9goce, pouvant choisir au dernier moment le plus offrant de ses clients potentiels. C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;instauration d&rsquo;un march\u00e9 mondialis\u00e9 du gaz naturel, contrairement aux gazoducs qui imposent un march\u00e9 r\u00e9gional avec des clauses de long terme entre consommateur et producteur. A chaque grande r\u00e9gion d&rsquo;imaginer son mix optimum d&rsquo;approvisionnement entre forme liquide et forme gazeuse.
