L&rsquo;\u00e9lectrification des v\u00e9hicules va se produire de fa\u00e7ons multiples et progressives. IL va y avoir tout d&rsquo;abord une mont\u00e9e en puissance des productions de v\u00e9hicules hybrides \u00e9quip\u00e9s de batteries Ni-MH. Toyota vise une production d&rsquo;un million de v\u00e9hicules par an \u00e0 l&rsquo;horizon 2010, Honda veut en produire un demi million. Entre 2010 et 2015 les autres grands constructeurs mondiaux vont vouloir les imiter et m\u00eame rendre leur offre plus attractive avec des mod\u00e8les Plug-in hybrides (hybrides rechargeables) avec des batteries au Li-Ion. On peut donc pr\u00e9voir que ces mod\u00e8les hybrides, plus ou moins &quot;boost\u00e9s&quot;, atteindront assez rapidement 6 millions d&rsquo;exemplaires, soit 10% du march\u00e9 accessible sur un march\u00e9 mondial des v\u00e9hicules (VL et PL) de 70 millions d&rsquo;unit\u00e9s par an. Quand aux petits v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques qui vont d&rsquo;abord appara\u00eetre au Japon, en Californie, en Isra\u00ebl, au Danemark, au Portugal&nbsp; leurs ventes vont d\u00e9pendrent des aides fiscales qui vont \u00eatre accord\u00e9es par les gouvernements au titre de la ma\u00eetrise des \u00e9missions de CO2 et de l&rsquo;aide \u00e0 la relocalisation de productions industrielles, comme l&rsquo;a r\u00e9cemment pr\u00e9conis\u00e9 Gordon Brown pour la Grande-Bretagne. L&rsquo;ensemble de toutes ces options devrait rapidement (2015 &#8211; 2016 ?) atteindre une part de march\u00e9 de 15% des v\u00e9hicules vendus annuellement. Ces ventes coupl\u00e9es \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction en parall\u00e8le des consommations des v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 moteur \u00e0 explosion devrait permettre \u00e0 cette date de r\u00e9duire annuellement les consommations d&rsquo;essence du parc automobile mondial&nbsp; de 3 \u00e0 4% par an ce qui repr\u00e9senterait une r\u00e9duction d&rsquo;environ un pourcent de la consommation mondiale de p\u00e9trole.
