Pour comprendre l&#039;importance de cette annonce il faut savoir que la <span style=\"color: #bf00bf\"><strong>technologie IGCC (Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle)<\/strong><\/span> largement \u00e9tudi\u00e9e par General Electric, est une technologie combin\u00e9e (turbines \u00e0 gaz puis \u00e0 vapeur) aliment\u00e9e par un gaz riche en hydrog\u00e8ne issu de la gaz\u00e9ification int\u00e9gr\u00e9e du charbon (FIG., sch\u00e9ma de Siemens).<\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160; <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/6a00d83451b18369e20148c7c44b4c970c-pi.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IGCC_Siemens\"  class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d83451b18369e20148c7c44b4c970c image-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/6a00d83451b18369e20148c7c44b4c970c-800wi.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 permet d&#039;atteindre un rendement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique autour des 60% (dont plus de 38% pour la seule turbine \u00e0 gaz) \u00e0 comparer aux 40% des meilleurs proc\u00e9d\u00e9s supercritiques au charbon pulv\u00e9ris\u00e9 existants. La raison principale de cette performance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique est due aux tr\u00e8s hautes temp\u00e9ratures atteintes dans la chambre de combustion de la turbine. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 peut, en option, \u00eatre \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&#039;une boucle de captage du CO2 form\u00e9 lors de la r\u00e9action de la vapeur d&#039;eau sur le monoxyde de carbone du syngas. Une partie du charbon (10 \u00e0 15%) peut-\u00eatre remplac\u00e9 par de la biomasse ce qui constitue une des meilleures options pour convertir de la biomasse en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogenergie.com\/2009\/02\/etude-du-coupla.html\" target=\"_self\">LIRE<\/a> un papier pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent sur ce sujet).<\/p>\n<p>&#160;Il y a dans ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 une voie importante pour am\u00e9liorer tout au long du XXI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle l&#039;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de la conversion du charbon en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 en Chine&#8230; et ailleurs.
