C&rsquo;est Johnson Controls-Saft qui a d\u00e9fini et r\u00e9alis\u00e9 les batteries pour ce test. Ces batteries sont assembl\u00e9es \u00e0 partir d&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9ments d&rsquo;accumulateurs cylindriques de type Lithium-Ion d&rsquo;une capacit\u00e9 de plusieurs dizaines d&rsquo;Ah. Par la suite d&rsquo;autres v\u00e9hicules doivent \u00eatre fournis pour \u00e9valuation par d&rsquo;autres Compagnies Electriques, dans la r\u00e9gion de New-York et du New Jersey. Ces v\u00e9hicules gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie emmagasin\u00e9e dans la batterie, \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat totalement charg\u00e9, devraient disposer d&rsquo;une autonomie purement \u00e9lectrique de 30 miles. Le mode d&rsquo;utilisation repose donc sur une charge de 6 \u00e0 8 heures durant la nuit, puis une utilisation sur le mode purement \u00e9lectrique et enfin, si n\u00e9cessaire, sur un mode hybride.
