Les publications sur ces hypoth\u00e8ses saugrenues sont bien trop nombreuses pour les citer ici et s&rsquo;opposent \u00e0 la long\u00e9vit\u00e9 de ces esp\u00e8ces d&rsquo;animaux marins paisibles.<\/p>\n<p>Pour ceux dont les connaissances dans les r\u00e9actions chimiques se seraient parfois opacifi\u00e9es je voudrais rappeler que la r\u00e9action d&rsquo;un gaz (le CO2) en solution dans le l&rsquo;eau\u00a0 (l&rsquo;eau de mer) avec un solide de type CaCO3 (les roches calcaires, les falaises, les coquillages, les gr\u00e8ves et autres enveloppes calcaires d&rsquo;anciens animaux marins) rel\u00e8ve de la chimie en phase h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8ne qui privil\u00e9gie les zones de r\u00e9action ou les trois composants, GAZ-LIQUIDE-SOLIDE, sont proches les-uns des-autres. La catalyse h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8ne illustre ce type de probl\u00e9matique; le bon fonctionnement de certaines piles \u00e0 combustible d\u00e9pend de ce type de r\u00e9action.<\/p>\n<p>Ces r\u00e9actions sur des solides \u00ab\u00a0mouill\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb par un liquide se focalisent dans des zones dites \u00ab\u00a0au-del\u00e0 du m\u00e9nisque\u00a0\u00bb (voir le sch\u00e9ma), r\u00e9gions encore humides mais ou le film liquide tr\u00e8s mince favorise les vitesses de r\u00e9action.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2016\/10\/Dissolution-du-CaCO3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26239\" title=\"Dissolution du CaCO3\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2016\/10\/Dissolution-du-CaCO3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"345\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Si j&rsquo;applique cette recette \u00e0 la dissolution du CaCO3, j&rsquo;en d\u00e9duis que cette r\u00e9action doit se d\u00e9rouler essentiellement sur les rochers ou les plages r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement humidifi\u00e9s par les mar\u00e9es et les vagues, falaises et autres zones d&rsquo;estuaires ou de delta r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement submerg\u00e9es. Le refroidissement de ces aires humides par la chaleur latente d&rsquo;\u00e9vaporation de l&rsquo;eau favorise la dissolution du CO2.<\/p>\n<p>Je n&rsquo;ai aucune angoisse, par contre, pour la survie des coraux dont les faibles apports en ions bicarbonates (HCO3-) \u00e0 plusieurs m\u00e8tres de profondeur doivent leur servir \u00e9ventuellement d&rsquo;apport en atomes de Carbone pour \u00e9laborer leur squelette ou de solution tampon pour r\u00e9duire leurs aigreurs d&rsquo;estomac.
