Cette usine chimique de Choren, synth\u00e9tisera des biocarburants de type BTL reposant sur trois phases principales: la gaz\u00e9ification du bois sec, la synth\u00e8se de paraffines par le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 Fischer-Tropsch et l&rsquo;hydrocracking de ces paraffines en carburants. L&rsquo;ensemble qui repose en grande partie sur des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s Shell, est d&rsquo;une <u>grande complexit\u00e9<\/u>. Il va n\u00e9cessiter de mettre en place et de valider de nombreuses \u00e9tapes individuelles de production durant les deux ans \u00e0 venir.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Cette usine de d\u00e9monstration ne devrait produire \u00e0 terme que 310 barils de carburants par jour \u00e0 partir de 178 tonnes de bois sec, pour un investissement de <u>100 millions d&rsquo;euros environ<\/u>. A un prix de vente du carburant de 150 $\/baril cette unit\u00e9 fera un chiffre d&rsquo;affaire de 17 millions d&rsquo;euros par an environ avec un prix de revient du bois sec \u00e0 100 euros la tonne, de 7 millions d&rsquo;euros. On en d\u00e9duit qu&rsquo;un tel proc\u00e9d\u00e9 n&rsquo;est pas financi\u00e8rement viable sans subvention. La complexit\u00e9 de cette unit\u00e9 de production, sa taille limit\u00e9e sont les causes de cette impasse financi\u00e8re. Mais une usine de plus grande taille (100 fois plus grande pour produire comme une raffinerie) poserait alors des <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogenergie.com\/2007\/10\/biocarburants-t.html\">probl\u00e8mes <\/a>de ressources en bois et de logistique de tr\u00e8s grande ampleur que ne saurait pas r\u00e9soudre l&rsquo;Allemagne. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; La production de biocarburants se heurte aux probl\u00e8mes g\u00e9ographiques de ressources limit\u00e9es en mati\u00e8res de base, les unit\u00e9s resteront donc limit\u00e9es en volumes et devront faire appel \u00e0 des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s simples et peu co\u00fbteux, sinon artisanaux, pour \u00eatre rentables.
