Ce syst\u00e8me reposant sur une pile \u00e0 combustible \u00e0 \u00e9lectrolyte polym\u00e8re (PEFC) aurait une dur\u00e9e de vie estim\u00e9e \u00e0 10 ans (4000 arr\u00eats-d\u00e9marrage et 40 000 heures de fonctionnement) Le rendement \u00e9lectrique du syst\u00e8me atteindrait jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 39%. Le produit devrait \u00eatre commercialis\u00e9 d\u00e8s 2010 avec des volumes atteignant 3000 \u00e0 5000 exemplaires. Le point cl\u00e9 du succ\u00e8s de la commercialisation repose sur les r\u00e9ductions de co\u00fbts. Le co\u00fbt pr\u00e9vu en 2010 devrait \u00eatre autour de 1,2 millions de Yens (12000 $) il devrait \u00eatre deux fois moindre en 2015.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Ces syst\u00e8mes aliment\u00e9s au gaz naturel sont d&rsquo;une <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogenergie.com\/2007\/12\/un-chauffe-eau.html\">grande complexit\u00e9<\/a> car ils int\u00e8grent la production et la purification de l&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne n\u00e9cessaire au fonctionnement de la PAC. Il faut donc faire appel au courant \u00e9lectrique du r\u00e9seau pour assurer les pointes de demande. Le prix de revient \u00e9lev\u00e9 est souvent dissuasif. Pour 2008 le METI (minist\u00e8re de l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie japonais) subventionne chaque appareil \u00e0 hauteur de 2,2 millions de Yens. Les industriels Japonais ont investi depuis des d\u00e9cennies des sommes consid\u00e9rables dans ces technologies.
