Ce caract\u00e8re flou des publications concernant les travaux r\u00e9alis\u00e9s provient \u00e0 la fois de la complexit\u00e9 des probl\u00e8mes \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre, de la n\u00e9cessaire confidentialit\u00e9 industrielle et peut-\u00eatre de l&#039;entretien volontaire de la vivacit\u00e9 du mythe de prochaines usines ou centrales \u00e9lectriques sans rejets.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;La complexit\u00e9 des probl\u00e8mes est \u00e9vidente. Dissoudre provisoirement dans une colonne \u00e0 solvant les quelques 10% de CO2 contenus dans les effluents issus des turbines ou des r\u00e9acteurs de combustion d&#039;une centrale n&#039;est pas une mince affaire. Il va falloir d\u00e9finir un m\u00e9lange solvant chimiquement stable qui ne s&#039;\u00e9vapore pas avec les gaz, qui absorbe rapidement et s\u00e9lectivement le CO2, qui va utiliser le moins d&#039;\u00e9nergie possible lors du cycle complet de dissolution et de relargage des gaz par des variations de pression et de temp\u00e9ratures et qui va devoir \u00eatre r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 et d\u00e9barrass\u00e9 des diverses impuret\u00e9s absorb\u00e9es autres que le CO2 et produites lors de la combustion.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;  <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/6a00d83451b18369e20133f64e14fb970b-pi.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"CCS-MHI-KS1-r\u00e9action\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d83451b18369e20133f64e14fb970b\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/6a00d83451b18369e20133f64e14fb970b-450wi.jpg\" style=\"width: 450px\" \/><\/a> <br \/>&#160;Chaque industriel poss\u00e8de sa recette de solvant qui semble \u00eatre compos\u00e9e, pour l&#039;instant, d&#039;amines modifi\u00e9es et rendues solubles en milieu aqueux par des fonctions ioniques (carboxylates, sulfonates, phosphonates, etc.). Dans la litt\u00e9rature universitaire sont \u00e9galement largement \u00e9tudi\u00e9s les liquides ioniques (ILs) qui sont des sels constitu\u00e9s de cations organiques (imidazolium, pyridinium, tetraalkylammonium, phosphonium) associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des gros anions min\u00e9raux (PF6-, BF4-, NO3-, ou plus complexes encore). Mais il ne semble pas, \u00e0 ma connaissance limit\u00e9e, que ces produits on\u00e9reux aient pour l&#039;instant fait l&#039;objet de d\u00e9veloppements industriels. On <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chem.queensu.ca\/Conferences\/CHEMRAWN\/Anderson_54.ppt\" target=\"_blank\">LIRA<\/a> une excellente pr\u00e9sentation de J.L. Anderson et Col. sur ce sujet qui date de 2007.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;L&#039;industriel le plus avanc\u00e9 sur le sujet du captage du CO2 est incontestablement Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) qui commercialise un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 dans ses unit\u00e9s de production d&#039;ur\u00e9e qui font r\u00e9agir de l&#039;ammoniac sur du CO2. Ce CO2 provient de la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape de production d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 la production d&#039;ammoniac. L&#039;industriel utilise un solvant appel\u00e9 KS-1 qui lui permet de capter du CO2 \u00e0 l&#039;aide d&#039;un cycle qui consomme dans les <strong><span style=\"color: #0000bf\">640 kCal par kilogramme de CO2<\/span><\/strong>. En sachant que la combustion d&#039;un charbon plus ou moins riche en hydrog\u00e8ne va g\u00e9n\u00e9rer entre 1700 et 2100 kCal par kg de CO2 produit, on constate que le captage du CO2 majorerait d&#039;un tiers la consommation d&#039;\u00e9nergie et donc de combustible d&#039;une centrale au charbon et s\u00fbrement plus pour une centrale au lignite. MHI travaille sur le d\u00e9veloppement d&#039;un nouveau solvant qui pourrait lui permettre de descendre sa consommation d&#039;\u00e9nergie de captage du CO2 \u00e0 610 kCal par kg, soit une am\u00e9lioration \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de 5% ce qui ne r\u00e9volutionne pas l&#039;\u00e9quation.<\/p>\n<p>Siemens dans le cadre d&#039;un large planning pluriannuel sur ce sujet, vient d&#039;annoncer que ses essais de captage sur un pilote implant\u00e9 dans une centrale d&#039;Eon en Allemagne venait d&#039;atteindre 3000 heures de fonctionnement avec 90% de CO2 capt\u00e9 et pratiquement aucune perte de solvant qui est une solution aqueuse d&#039;un sel d&#039;un amino acide. La consommation d&#039;\u00e9nergie est &quot;significativement plus faible que celle des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s conventionnels&quot;: avec de telles donn\u00e9es tous les fantasmes sont possibles! La solution capte \u00e9galement un certain nombre de contaminants qui dans le futur devront \u00eatre s\u00e9par\u00e9s de la solution par un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Siemens devrait passer maintenant \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9tape N\u00b02 de son planning, sponsoris\u00e9e par de DoE am\u00e9ricain et qui consiste \u00e0 placer une unit\u00e9 de captage de CO2 \u00e0 la sortie d&#039;un r\u00e9acteur de 890 MW de la centrale de Big Bend \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de Tampa en Floride.
