La production mondiale \u00e9tait de 2200 MWc en 2006 en croissance de 33% par rapport \u00e0 2005. Elle est estim\u00e9e par Solarbuzz pour 2007, aux environs de <strong><span style=\"color: #3300cc\">3436 MWc<\/span><\/strong>, dont 2820 MWc en installations solaires (+62%). Ce march\u00e9 se caract\u00e9rise aujourd&rsquo;hui&nbsp; par les points suivants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>multiplicit\u00e9 des op\u00e9rateurs dans le monde, avec la mont\u00e9e en puissance des Chinois;<\/li>\n<li>forte demande du march\u00e9, limit\u00e9e par les capacit\u00e9s de production et la p\u00e9nurie en wafers de Silicium;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e9volution rapide des technologies vers l&rsquo;utilisation de peu ou pas de Silicium, vers les r\u00e9ductions de co\u00fbts, vers l&rsquo;accroissement des rendements photovolta\u00efques;<\/li>\n<li>formidable effort de Recherche et D\u00e9veloppement;<\/li>\n<li>investissements industriels massifs (Sharp investit 460 M euros dans une usine au Japon); <\/li>\n<li>d\u00e9localisation de l&rsquo;assemblage des panneaux solaires vers les zones \u00e0 faible co\u00fbt de main d&rsquo;oeuvre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;C&rsquo;est donc typiquement une industrie en pleine mutation technologique, tir\u00e9e par la demande tous azimuts. SHARP estime que le march\u00e9 va \u00eatre multipli\u00e9 par plus de 4 en 5 ans (+34% de croissance par an) pour atteindre <span style=\"color: #3300cc\"><strong>15 GWc en 2012<\/strong> <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">avec une r\u00e9partiton 50\/50 des technologies entre Silicium wafer et couche mince.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Quelle peut-\u00eatre, dans ces conditions, l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de cette industrie?<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Il est \u00e0 pr\u00e9voir, par analogie avec d&rsquo;autres industries plus matures, que quelques technologies vont s&rsquo;imposer en fonction de la segmentation du march\u00e9. Cellules au Silicium \u00e0 fort rendement pour les applications \u00e9lectroniques exigeantes, cellules \u00e0 bas co\u00fbts en <span style=\"color: #3300cc\"><strong>couches minces<\/strong> <\/span>pour les applications de masse de production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie, produits sp\u00e9ciaux pour des applications o\u00f9 le design urbain sera un point cl\u00e9 (ex. les panneaux transparents), etc.<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;industrie va rapidement se concentrer, d\u00e8s que l&rsquo;offre sera suffisante et que la guerre des prix et des performances sera d\u00e9clar\u00e9e. Les petits acteurs r\u00e9gionaux dispara\u00eetront, dont les fran\u00e7ais probablement.<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e d&rsquo;une innovation technologique r\u00e9volutionnaire est toujours possible mais le plus probable sera une \u00e9volution lente d&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration des performances des produits et des caract\u00e9ristiques des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s, que seuls les plus gros acteurs pourront financer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Il est peu probable que nous ayons en France une industrie capable de relever un tel d\u00e9fi, l&rsquo;Allemagne a la chance d&rsquo;h\u00e9berger Q-Cells le N\u00b01 mondial et la Belgique <strong><span style=\"color: #3300cc\">Photovoltech<\/span><\/strong> (80MWc) qui pourrait par sa technologie, se sp\u00e9cialiser dans certains produits haut de gamme, \u00e0 forte valeur ajout\u00e9e.
