Cette croissance de la consommation de carburants est imputable aux moyens de transport dont la part de consommation passerait de 68% en 2006 \u00e0 73% en 2030. Mais en contre partie l&rsquo;administration am\u00e9ricaine pr\u00e9voit un accroissement des productions locales de p\u00e9trole. De 5.1 millions de barils par jour en 2006, la production de p\u00e9trole brut pourrait atteindre <u><span style=\"color: #333333\">6,3 millions de barils par jour en 2018<\/span><\/u>, pour redescendre ensuite \u00e0 5.6 millions en 2030. Ces volumes suppl\u00e9mentaires proviennent des gisements offshore du Golfe du Mexique et des accroissements de taux de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration sur les gisements existants. <\/p>\n<p>Cet accroissement des productions locales devrait permettre au moins, de stabiliser les importations de p\u00e9trole brut au niveau actuel de 10 millions de barils par jour. <a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/03\/05\/doeeiaoutlook2008_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"264\" alt=\"Doeeiaoutlook2008_3\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/doeeiaoutlook2008_3.jpg\" width=\"352\"  \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/03\/05\/doeeiaoutlook2008_2.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Dans une hypoth\u00e8se d&rsquo;une politique plus volontariste des am\u00e9ricains et de leur future administraion qui arriverait \u00e0 stabiliser la consommation US de p\u00e9trole au niveau tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9 actuel de 20 millions de barils par jour, on verrait alors dans les dix ans \u00e0 venir se r\u00e9duire les importations de brut aux USA.
