Cette JV est dirig\u00e9e par Mary Ann Wright, une ancienne de chez Ford. A l&rsquo;automne 2007, JC-Saft a \u00e9t\u00e9 retenu par Mercedes pour d\u00e9velopper la batterie au Lithium du futur v\u00e9hicule &quot;Classe S 400&nbsp; hybride&quot; qui devrait entrer en production en D\u00e9cembre 2008. Cette batterie sera produite dans une nouvelle unit\u00e9 des usines&nbsp; SAFT de NERSAC, dans la banlieue d&rsquo;Angoul\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; En parall\u00e8le avec ce contrat, JC-Saft a obtenu un contrat du &quot;Department of Energy&quot; US de 4.1 millions de dollars pour d\u00e9velopper des batteries \u00e0 base de Nickelate de Lithium (NiO2Li) pour des syst\u00e8mes dits &quot;Plug-In&quot; qui sont \u00e0 la fois des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques et hybrides, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une batterie de plus forte capacit\u00e9. Une fois charg\u00e9e, la batterie assurera une autonomie en mode \u00e9lectrique de 10km ou de 40 km au v\u00e9hicule.
