Il consiste \u00e0 utiliser l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie de l&rsquo;ennemi (le v\u00e9hicule) pour le neutraliser en rechargeant la batterie par freinage inductif (regenerative braking). Donc plus l&rsquo;ennemi est lourd, plus il freine et re-d\u00e9marre souvent et plus l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat du v\u00e9hicule hybride est \u00e9vident. C&rsquo;est tout particuli\u00e8rement le cas pour un bus urbain qui, dans le flux de la circulation, va subir les feux rouges, les embouteillages, les arr\u00eats programm\u00e9s consommant ainsi l&rsquo;essentiel de son \u00e9nergie \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer entre z\u00e9ro et quelques dizaines de kilom\u00e8tres-heure et rejetant cette \u00e9nergie sous forme de chaleur dans le syst\u00e8me de freinage. Or, \u00e0 ce jour, peu de bus de ville sont hybrides, seuls quelques milliers circulent dans le monde. Daimler Buses North America est un des leader dans ce domaine avec 1100 bus en circulation \u00e0 ce jour. A son carnet de commande de 460 bus il vient d&rsquo;ajouter deux importantes commandes l&rsquo;une venant de New York (850 bus) l&rsquo;autre d&rsquo;Ottawa (202 bus).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ces bus sont propuls\u00e9s par un ensemble hybride diesel-\u00e9lectrique de BAE System qui comprend <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>un moteur diesel six cylindres, 194kW \u00e0 2300tours\/minute, <\/li>\n<li>un g\u00e9n\u00e9rateur de 120 kW pour charger la batterie, <\/li>\n<li>un moteur \u00e9lectrique de 186 kW avec un couple max de 3600 Nm, qui r\u00e9cup\u00e8re l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie au freinage,<\/li>\n<li> une batterie de 32 kWh qui \u00e9tait initialement une batterie au plomb mais qui va \u00eatre de plus en plus au Lithium-Ion. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;La consommation en carburant est r\u00e9duite de 30%, les \u00e9missions de particules de 90% et les \u00e9missions de NOx r\u00e9duites de 40%.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Il y a dans cette application une r\u00e9elle opportunit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9conomies d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie que ce soit sous forme de gasoil ou de gaz selon le mode de propulsion choisi.
