Que ce soit dans la production de Silicium (Tokuyama, Mitsubishi materials), dans l&rsquo;\u00e9laboration de wafers (les pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents, M.Setec, JFE Steel, Sumco, etc.) ou de cellules et de panneaux (Sharp, Kyocera, Mitsubishi Electric, Sanyo). De nouvelles technologies en couches minces permettent de <u>s&rsquo;affranchir de la contrainte d&rsquo;approvisionnement en Silicium <\/u>qui semble \u00eatre encore le goulot d&rsquo;\u00e9tranglement de l&rsquo;ensemble de la fili\u00e8re photovolta\u00efque. Sharp en particulier est tr\u00e8s actif <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogenergie.com\/2007\/11\/sharp-veut-accr.html\">dans ce domaine<\/a> des couches minces de Silicium en proposant des panneaux transparents qui peuvent devenir \u00e9clairants en l&rsquo;absence de lumi\u00e8re, mais d&rsquo;autres Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s japonaises sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en production comme Kaneka, Fuji, MH1 ou Showa Shell. En d\u00e9cembre 2005 Honda avait annonc\u00e9 son intention de construire une usine de production de cellules photovolta\u00efques en couches minces pour 2007, le voil\u00e0 \u00e0 pied d&rsquo;oeuvre.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Honda a choisi la technologie CIGS (Cuivre-Indium-Gallium-Selenium) proche de la technologie Cd-Te (Cadmium-Tellure) mais exempte de Cadmium qui a mauvaise presse. Cette technologie qui s&rsquo;affranchit du Silicium et du Cadmium est d\u00e9j\u00e0 largement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e dans le monde, avec Wurtz Solar et SulfurCell en Allemagne, <u>Global Solar<\/u> aux USA, <u>Showa Shell<\/u> au Japon. Honda s&rsquo;est fix\u00e9 pour objectif de produire 27MWc \u00e0 l&rsquo;horizon 2009.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Les technologies en couches minces sont en train de prendre le pas dans le monde sur les technologies plus classiques \u00e0 base de wafers de Silicium. Les trois technologies en couche mince (Si, CdTe et CIGS) repr\u00e9sentaient 44% de la production de cellules aux USA en 2006. Cette part devrait devenir rapidement sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 50% en raison de l&rsquo;avantage de co\u00fbt de ces technologies.
