Les activit\u00e9s, qui repr\u00e9sentent 11 milliards de dollars de chiffre d&rsquo;affaire, vont \u00eatre cantonn\u00e9es dans une Joint Venture 50\/50. Elles concernent le poly\u00e9thl\u00e8ne, le polypropyl\u00e8ne, les polycarbonates, les ethyl\u00e8namines et l&rsquo;\u00e9thanolamine. Ces produits sont typiquement ceux de la p\u00e9trochimie: n&rsquo;est comp\u00e9titif dans ces activit\u00e9s que celui qui dispose <u>d&rsquo;Ethane \u00e0 moindre co\u00fbt<\/u>. C&rsquo;est pour cela que ces productions ne peuvent survivre qu&rsquo;aupr\u00e8s de tr\u00e8s grosses unit\u00e9s p\u00e9trochimiques et si possible proches des champs de p\u00e9trole ou de gaz.
