L&rsquo;extraction et la fabrication de ciment participent pour environ <u>7% des \u00e9missions de CO2 dans le monde<\/u>. C&rsquo;est consid\u00e9rable, c&rsquo;est trois fois plus environ que les \u00e9missions de CO2 de l&rsquo;aviation civile et militaire mondiale, par exemple. Il y a l\u00e0 un champ d&rsquo;action dans lequel les ressources \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques renouvelables pourraient s&rsquo;appliquer largement pour alimenter les fours rotatifs port\u00e9s \u00e0 1500\u00b0C.&nbsp; Le Groupe Lafarge affirme que pr\u00e8s de 11% de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie consomm\u00e9e dans ses usines provient de ressources alternatives, dont 70% en Allemagne et 33% en France. Cel\u00e0 signifie que c&rsquo;est beaucoup plus faible ailleurs. Son objectif est de faire cro\u00eetre cette part \u00e0 14% en 2010.
