Cette \u00e9olienne haute de 87 m et de 126 m de diam\u00e8tre de rotor approvisionnera en courant \u00e9lectrique une plate-forme p\u00e9troli\u00e8re en fin de vie, baptis\u00e9e &quot; Beatrice &quot;. Il s&rsquo;agit l\u00e0 de la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape d&rsquo;un grand projet de parc \u00e9olien offshore de 1000 MW (soit 200 turbines de 5 MW), capable de fournir en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 toute la population d&rsquo;Aberdeen.<\/p>\n<p>En effet, ce projet de 35 millions de livres a \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9 au niveau europ\u00e9en dans le cadre des projets DOWNVInD (Distant Offshore Wind farms with No Visual Impact in Deepwater) de parcs \u00e9oliens en eaux profondes. Le d\u00e9veloppement du parc \u00e9olien est assur\u00e9 en commun par Talisman Energy, exploitant canadien de gisements p\u00e9troliers et gaziers, et Scottish &amp; Southern Power, compagnie \u00e9cossaise de distribution d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie.<br \/> Le projet pr\u00e9sente plusieurs particularit\u00e9s : une taille de rotor record, des mat\u00e9riaux nouveaux, un mode de distribution du courant in\u00e9dit et un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 d&rsquo;installation innovant.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/eolienne_5m_rotor1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\"  alt=\"Eolienne_5m_rotor\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/eolienne_5m_rotor.jpg\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 5px 5px;float: right\" \/><\/a> 1. Un rotor plus grand et plus l\u00e9ger<\/strong><br \/>Avec ses dimensions record pour une \u00e9olienne offshore, ce type de projet pourrait tr\u00e8s vite permettre la mise en place de nombreux parcs \u00e9oliens en eaux profondes jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 70 m de fond, des zones \u00e0 faible impact visuel. Voil\u00e0 une opportunit\u00e9 suppl\u00e9mentaire pour l&rsquo;Ecosse pour mettre \u00e0 profit sa zone \u00e9conomique maritime (qui pr\u00e9sente de grandes profondeurs) dans la production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 d&rsquo;origine renouvelable.<br \/>Par ailleurs, les pales des turbines ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9es dans un nouveau mat\u00e9riau composite (fibre de carbone\/verre), alors que l&rsquo;arbre de transmission du rotor a \u00e9t\u00e9 moul\u00e9 creux, permettant ainsi un all\u00e9gement consid\u00e9rable de la structure globale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Distribution du courant via la plate-forme p\u00e9troli\u00e8re<\/strong><br \/>Le courant produit par l&rsquo;\u00e9olienne sera dirig\u00e9 vers la plate-forme p\u00e9troli\u00e8re &quot; Beatrice &quot;, afin d&rsquo;y fournir environ 30% des besoins en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9. La partie exc\u00e9dentaire sera redistribu\u00e9e directement vers le r\u00e9seau terrestre via les connections existantes au niveau de la plate-forme. Par ce biais, des \u00e9conomies sont donc r\u00e9alis\u00e9es sur les co\u00fbts de distribution.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/eolienne_5m_21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"166\"  src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/eolienne_5m_2.jpg\" alt=\"Eolienne_5m_2\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 5px 5px;float: right\" \/><\/a> 3. Une proc\u00e9dure d&rsquo;installation plus \u00e9conomique et moins contraignante<\/strong><br \/>Contrairement aux projets habituels en eaux peu profondes, l&rsquo;assemblage complet de l&rsquo;\u00e9olienne (tour, nacelle et pales) est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 au pr\u00e9alable sur la terre ferme. Le tout est ensuite dispos\u00e9 sur une grande barge, l&rsquo;assemblage \u00e9tant retenu en son milieu par une grue. Une fois au large, la mise en place de l&rsquo;\u00e9olienne se fait gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une tour l\u00e9g\u00e8re en treillis fix\u00e9e au fond marin par quatre piles plus petites. Au centre de cette tour est situ\u00e9 un guide permettant de faire glisser l&rsquo;\u00e9olienne, d\u00e9pos\u00e9e par la grue.
