Le stade de foot alimentera 200 foyers en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e et devient le plus gros fournisseur du pays en \u00e9nergie solaire. Ce b\u00e2timent repr\u00e9sente tout un symbole. Celui de la coop\u00e9ration entre pouvoirs publics et entreprises priv\u00e9es dans une vision urbaine de d\u00e9veloppement durable. Rien n\u2019emp\u00eache d\u2019\u00e9quiper tous les toits d\u2019une ville de panneaux solaires, sinon une volont\u00e9 politique et une cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 accrue de la part des architectes. Au bout de la cha\u00eene, le consommateur a toujours le choix d\u2019acheter du courant propre, encore l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus cher, afin de couvrir les investissements.<\/p>\n<p>En Californie se trouve la plus grande centrale solaire thermique, avec une puissance de 150 MW. La technologie employ\u00e9e est diff\u00e9rente. Elle n\u00e9cessite de tr\u00e8s hautes temp\u00e9ratures par concentration des rayonnements solaires \u00e0 l\u2019aide de miroirs.
