Cette module batterie de 7 litres environ, p\u00e8se 8 kg. Il pourra constituer la base de futurs ensembles plus importants de stockage d&#039;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique par mise en s\u00e9rie et\/ou parall\u00e8le de plusieurs de ces modules de 1,5 kWh. Compte tenu du petit \u00e9l\u00e9ment de base qui le constitue, ce produit ne veut optimiser ni l&#039;\u00e9nergie massique, ni l&#039;\u00e9nergie volumique de l&#039;ensemble. Il veut simplement optimiser le co\u00fbt \u00e0 l&#039;aide d&#039;un \u00e9l\u00e9ment de batterie produit \u00e0 grandes cadences sur des lignes automatiques. Panasonic nous informe que ce produit fait appel \u00e0 un <strong><span>oxyde lithi\u00e9 de Nickel (LiNiO<sub>2<\/sub>)<\/span><\/strong> de forte capacit\u00e9 et pr\u00e9sentant une tr\u00e8s bonne aptitude au cyclage. Quand \u00e0 la fiabilit\u00e9 de l&#039;ensemble qui est un des points de grande importance, Panasonic affirme avoir mis au point une s\u00e9paration entre les deux polarit\u00e9s \u00e0 base d&#039;une couche d&#039;oxyde m\u00e9tallique isolante qui permet de pr\u00e9venir les courts-circuits et les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes d&#039;emballement thermique.
