                            Les techniques offshore d'exploration et d'extraction de gaz naturel deviennent de plus en plus profondes et s'\u00e9loignent des c\u00f4tes. La mise \u00e0 disposition pour certains gisements d'unit\u00e9s flottantes de liqu\u00e9faction (FLNG) o\u00f9 viendraient accoster les m\u00e9thaniers est un projet \u00e9conomiquement raisonnable. Ce type d'usine flottante permettrait en effet de s'affranchir de la construction de longs gazoducs sous marins et des servitudes associ\u00e9es. Shell dans le cadre d'un projet de coop\u00e9ration \u00e0 long terme vient de confier \u00e0 Technip et \u00e0 Samsung  l'\u00e9tude d'une telle unit\u00e9 industrielle flottante. Elle devrait \u00eatre capable de s\u00e9parer les fractions liquides et autres gaz liqu\u00e9fi\u00e9s \u00e0 basse pression  \u00e0 hauteur de 1,5 million de tonnes par an et de traiter le gaz naturel et de le liqu\u00e9fier avec une capacit\u00e9 de 3,5 millions de tonnes par an. Il n'est pas dit le sort r\u00e9serv\u00e9 au CO2<\/sub> contenu dans le gaz naturel.<\/p>\n

                           Ce projet illustre la mont\u00e9e en puissance programm\u00e9e de la part du gaz naturel dans le mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique mondial, pour les d\u00e9cennies \u00e0 venir.<\/p>\n
