Ces produits remplacent avantageusement leurs homologues partiellement chlor\u00e9s (CFC et HCFC) nuisibles \u00e0 la couche d&#039;ozone (ODS, pour ozone depleted substances), ils n&#039;en sont pas moins de puissants gaz \u00e0 effet de serre. Ils pr\u00e9sentent un potentiel global de r\u00e9chauffement (GWP) calcul\u00e9 par int\u00e9gration sur une p\u00e9riode de cent ans qui peut-\u00eatre plusieurs milliers de fois sup\u00e9rieur&#160;\u00e0 celui du&#160;CO<sub>2<\/sub> (3800 fois environ pour le 143a CH<sub>3<\/sub>-CF<sub>3<\/sub> et le 134a CH<sub>2<\/sub>F-CF<sub>3<\/sub>, 2800 fois pour le 125 CHF<sub>2<\/sub>-CF<sub>3<\/sub>).<\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Cette \u00e9tude montre que sans mesure sp\u00e9ciale de r\u00e8glementation de ces produits, leur utilisation dans les pays en d\u00e9veloppement pourrait atteindre, \u00e0 l&#039;horizon 2050,&#160;des niveaux 8 fois sup\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 ceux des pays d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s. Cette croissance pourrait engendrer des rejets de gaz qui venant de moins de&#160;2 milliards de tonnes \u00e9quivalent CO<sub>2<\/sub> aujourd&#039;hui, atteindraient entre 5,6 et&#160;8,8 milliards de tonnes \u00e9quivalent CO<sub>2<\/sub> en 2050&#160;(FIG.). Ces chiffres sont \u00e0 comparer \u00e0 des rejets actuels mondiaux de 30 milliards de tonnes de CO<sub>2<\/sub> et aux 20 milliards de tonnes de&#160;CO<sub>2<\/sub> qu&#039;il faudra rejeter au maximum en 2050 pour tenir l&#039;objectif des 450 ppm.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Il appara\u00eet de fa\u00e7on \u00e9vidente que l&#039;utilisation des HFC dans le monde devra donc \u00eatre r\u00e9gul\u00e9e et limit\u00e9e dans les d\u00e9cennies \u00e0 venir.
