A titre de comparaison la consommation nette d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 de la France m\u00e9tropolitaine comptabilis\u00e9e par RTE a atteint 130 TWh. C&#039;est la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 au charbon qui paie le plus lourd tribut avec une <strong>baisse de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration nette de 12%<\/strong> \u00e0 452 TWh ce qui repr\u00e9sente encore une tr\u00e8s grosse&#160;part de march\u00e9 de 47% (FIG.). La g\u00e9n\u00e9ration au gaz naturel se maintient (+1%) et celle d&#039;origine nucl\u00e9aire est parfaitement assur\u00e9e (+2%). La plus forte progression est celle de l&#039;\u00e9nergie d&#039;origine <strong>\u00e9olienne qui avec 17 TWh progresse de 35%<\/strong>. Mais cette production ne repr\u00e9sente encore que moins de 2% de l&#039;\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique et une fraction de pourcent du bilan \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique global. <\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Ces r\u00e9sultats coupl\u00e9s \u00e0 la baisse de consommation de p\u00e9trole aux Etats-Unis va conduire ce pays vers un bilan 2009 des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GHG) en&#160;nette am\u00e9lioration. La crise purifie l&#039;air et fait baisser le nombre d&#039;accidents de la route.
