Malgr\u00e9 cet avantage technologique important, en raison de faibles volumes de production (18 MW au premier trimestre 2009) et de placements aventureux (Evergreen vient de passer en perte un pr\u00eat de pr\u00e8s de 44 millions de dollars accord\u00e9 en 2007 \u00e0 Silicium de Provence, Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en redressement judiciaire en France) Evergreen, trimestre apr\u00e8s trimestre, est toujours dans le rouge (pertes de plus de 64 millions de dollars au premier trimestre).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/6a00d83451b18369e201156f71063d970c-pi.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Evergreen-string-ribbon-process\" class=\"at-xid-6a00d83451b18369e201156f71063d970c \" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogenergie\/files\/2012\/07\/6a00d83451b18369e201156f71063d970c-450wi.jpg\" \/><\/a>&#160;<span><\/span><span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;Au cours de ce trimestre \u00e9coul\u00e9 il a vendu 17,3 MW de modules solaires pour un prix unitaire moyen de 3.13 dollars par Watt contre 3.39$ durant le quatri\u00e8me trimestre 2008. Le patron d&#039;Evergreen, Richard&#160;Felt,&#160;consid\u00e8re qu&#039;avec des productions de 40 MW par trimestre et l&#039;ach\u00e8vement des travaux d&#039;expansion en cours aux Etats-Unis il pourrait atteindre <span>un prix de revient de 2 dollars par Watt<\/span>. Cet objectif est de toute \u00e9vidence insuffisant pour satisfaire un march\u00e9 dont les prix moyens unitaires de vente vont rapidement glisser vers les 2 dollars le Watt, sous la pression de <strong><span>First Solar<\/span><\/strong> et de son proc\u00e9d\u00e9 au CdTe (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogenergie.com\/2009\/04\/photovolta%C3%AFque-en-couches-minces-first-solar-va-bien-en-allemagne-sunfilm-et-sontor-se-regroupent.html\" title=\"First Solar\">LIRE<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Alors il ne reste qu&#039;une solution pour Evergreen: c\u00e9der son process \u00e0 un chinois et lui sous-traiter les productions. C&#039;est ce qu&#039;il vient d&#039;annoncer avec un accord en cours de signature avec le chinois <strong><span>Jiawei Solar<\/span><\/strong> qui installerait en Chine&#160;une usine de technologie &quot;String Ribbon&quot; de capacit\u00e9 100 MW pour le deuxi\u00e8me trimestre 2010 et qui serait port\u00e9e par la suite \u00e0 500MW pour 2012. Jiawei r\u00e9aliserait en sous-traitance les modules termin\u00e9s pour les besoins d&#039;Evergreen. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cet accord Feldt esp\u00e8re atteindre des prix de revient chinois&#160;compris entre&#160;1.4 \u00e0 1.5 dollar par Watt. Par la suite la baisse des prix du Silicium jusqu&#039;\u00e0 50$\/kg et les gains de productivit\u00e9 devraient permettre d&#039;atteindre un prix de revient d&#039;un dollar par Watt vers 2012.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Cette d\u00e9cision d&#039;Evergreen d&#039;externaliser ses productions rejoint celles de bien de ses concurrents comme <strong><span>Sharp<\/span><\/strong> qui veut vendre ses technologies \u00e0 des filiales, <strong><span>BP Solar<\/span><\/strong> qui va sous-traiter l&#039;essentiel de ses productions&#160;ou comme <strong><span>Q-Cells<\/span><\/strong> qui s&#039;est alli\u00e9 avec le chinois <strong><span>LDK<\/span><\/strong>, sp\u00e9cialiste des wafers.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;Cette \u00e9volution montre que <span>la production de modules photovolta\u00efques \u00e0 partir de wafers et de cellules unitaires de faibles surfaces ne sera rapidement plus viable \u00e9conomiquement dans les pays \u00e0 fort taux de main-d&#039;oeuvre<\/span>. C&#039;est la raison pour laquelle, seul un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 <span>totalement automatis\u00e9 de production de modules<\/span> de grandes surfaces en couches minces ne peut \u00eatre que le type de&#160;solution \u00e0 retenir pour&#160;les pays&#160;\u00e0 fort taux&#160;de main-d&#039;oeuvre.
