L&#039;autre proc\u00e9d\u00e9, le plus classique, repose sur&#160;la transest\u00e9rification&#160;en milieu alcalin qui conduit \u00e0 des esters d&#039;acides gras et \u00e0 de la glyc\u00e9rine. La glyc\u00e9rine constitue donc un sous-produit de la production de biodiesel dont la valorisation est incertaine. Dans ce cadre l\u00e0, le Groupe industriel allemand LINDE sp\u00e9cialiste des gaz industriels, se propose de construire une unit\u00e9 pilote dans son usine de Leuna qui permettra de produire de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne&#160;par pyrolyse&#160;de la glyc\u00e9rine.
