\"Osmanthe\"<\/a> Voil\u00e0 un arbuste<\/a> que l’on voit peu et je me demande bien pourquoi car il a un beau feuillage vert uni ou panach\u00e9 qui pr\u00e9sente l’avantage d’\u00eatre d\u00e9coratif toute l’ann\u00e9e. De plus la floraison blanche qui intervient en avril-mai est d\u00e9licieusement odorante, c’est un parfum qui rappelle celui du jasmin. L’osmanthe<\/a> est  parfait pour composer des haies touffues car il n’atteint pas une grande hauteur et  a un port bien compact.<\/p>\n

Les sujets que j’ai photographi\u00e9s se trouvent au jardin japonnais de Toulouse, l\u00e0 ces arbustes c\u00f4toient d’autres esp\u00e8ces d’origine asiatique. Chez vous, vous pouvez aussi les associer aux spir\u00e9es, aux lilas<\/a>, aux hibiscus syriacus<\/a>…ils vont tr\u00e9s bien ensemble.<\/p>\n

Vous ne trouvez pas que ces feuilles ressemblent \u00e0 celles du houx<\/a>? Ces deux arbustes ont cette similitude  en effet mais c’est tout, et l’osmanthe pr\u00e9sente sur le houx un avantage de taille: ses fleurs regroup\u00e9es en bouquets et leur divine senteur.
Vous ai-je convaincus d’adopter cet arbuste? si oui attendez quand m\u00eame le printemps pour le planter, la terre sera un peu r\u00e9chauff\u00e9e et cela facilitera son enracinement.
Il faudra l’installer au soleil et veiller \u00e0 ce que le sol soit bien drain\u00e9, il aime les terres fertiles amis arrive \u00e0 s’en accommoder si elles sont seulement ordinaires, donc pas de souci de ce c\u00f4t\u00e9-l\u00e0.
L’osmanthe r\u00e9siste bien \u00e0 la chaleur et \u00e0 la s\u00e8cheresse, ce qu’il craint le plus ce sont les sols lourds et le fort gel, prot\u00e9gez son pied en hiver.
Sa croissance assez rapide vous plaira et son peu d’exigence en mati\u00e8re de soins vous enchantera: contentez-vous de couper les branches mortes, ce sera suffisant.
