Au printemps les ch\u00e2tons aux minuscules <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesarbres.fr\/fleur.php\">fleurs<\/a> jaunes pollinisent les fleurs femelles solitaires, le vent qui souffle souvent au d\u00e9but du printemps fait voler ce pollen qui recouvre tout d&rsquo;une fine pellicule jaune. <\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;\u00e9poque o\u00f9 ma terrasse est sans cesse recouverte d&rsquo;une fine couche de pollen car les ch\u00eanes kerm\u00e8s se sont invit\u00e9s au jardins il y a s\u00fbrement bien longtemps, en tous cas bien avant notre arriv\u00e9e. <br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/nature.jardin.free.fr\/arbuste\/ft_quercus_cocc.html\">Le ch\u00eane Kerm\u00e8s<\/a> est une fagac\u00e9e, on l&rsquo;appelle aussi Kerm\u00e8s des teinturiers car son \u00e9corce est riche en tanins mais ce nom de Kerm\u00e8s lui vient de la cochenille qui le colonise.<\/p>\n<p>Il a une allure un peu \u00e9bouriff\u00e9e avec ses rameaux qui partent dans tous les sens. Son feuillage est persistant et c&rsquo;est un des avantages de cet arbre qui est d\u00e9coratif toute l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e. Ses feuilles sont tr\u00e8s piquantes et quand il faut tailler une branche il vaut lieux faire attention en la ramassant.<\/p>\n<p>En ce moment le ch\u00eane a des fruits, des ak\u00e8nes au court p\u00e9doncule qui murissent sur 2 ann\u00e9es.<br \/>Chaleur, soleil, terre calcaire et surtout bien drain\u00e9e, le ch\u00eane Kerm\u00e8s est vraiment fait pour le sud o\u00f9 on le trouve facilement dans les terres s\u00e8ches et pierreuses de la garrigue.<br \/>Particularit\u00e9 de ce ch\u00eane, il est pyrophyte, lorsqu&rsquo;un <a href=\"http:\/\/www.institut-foret.com\/index.cfm?niv1=incendie\">incendie<\/a> survient et an\u00e9antit toute v\u00e9g\u00e9tation, le ch\u00eane Kerm\u00e8s revient vite prendre possession des terres br\u00fbl\u00e9es car il profite de la chaleur d\u00e9gag\u00e9e pour se ressemer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Il pousse partout dans la garrigue m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne et forme des buissons tr\u00e8s denses car il drageonne \u00e9norm\u00e9ment.
