\"Une_mante_religieuse\"<\/a> Les mantes religieuses sont nombreuses au jardin en ce moment et j’en retrouve m\u00eame dans la maison \u00e0 mon grand regret car je crains un peu ces petites b\u00eates<\/a>. Inoffensives certes mais leur allure m’impressionne.
Abdomen allong\u00e9 et longues pattes avant, la femelle fait  6 bons centim\u00e8tres mais le m\u00e2le est plus petit.<\/p>\n

C’est la position de ses pattes qui lui a valu son nom de mante religieuse<\/a> car quand elle guette sa proie, elle les rabat ce qui donne l’impression qu’elle est en pri\u00e8re. Cet insecte au corps volumineux a une toute petite t\u00eate tr\u00e8s mobile et de gros yeux, pas \u00e9tonnant que la mante soit une grande chasseuse. Brunes, beige ou vertes elles prennent des tenues de camouflage pour ne pas se faire rep\u00e9rer.<\/p>\n

Chaleur et soleil lui conviennent bien, elle est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9sente mais a depuis longtemps \u00e9largi son territoire et finalement on la retrouve un peu partout quand les \u00e9t\u00e9s sont ensoleill\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

  La mante religieuse<\/a> mange de nombreux insectes et pour cela est la bienvenue au jardin. Criquets, papillons, araign\u00e9es, mouches, sauterelles… difficile de lui \u00e9chapper tellement sa rapidit\u00e9 \u00e0 l’attaque est importante. Elle lorgne ses proies en tournant sa t\u00eate triangulaire, les rep\u00e8re et lance \u00e0 toute allure ses pattes ant\u00e9rieurs pour emprisonner sa victime qu’elle d\u00e9capite et d\u00e9vore. 
Dot\u00e9e d’un \u00e9norme app\u00e9tit cet insecte<\/a> avale de grandes quantit\u00e9s de nourriture tout au long de l’\u00e9t\u00e9. L’automne venu, la femelle pond ses oeufs. Les adultes ayant assur\u00e9 leur descendance meurent en hiver et la  nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration voit le jour au d\u00e9but de l’\u00e9t\u00e9 suivant.<\/p>\n

Quelle mauvaise r\u00e9putation elle a! On l’accuse de tuer et de manger le m\u00e2le lors de l’accouplement et malheureusement pour lui c’est le sort qui lui est le plus souvent r\u00e9serv\u00e9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
