Le plus connu et le plus riche des engrais naturels est le compost maison<\/a>, dont Christine Pomart avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 parl\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises sur notre blog, en nous rappelant notamment comment l’alimenter<\/a> ou le camoufler, agr\u00e9ablement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Les amendements organiques, ou encore les ajouts de mati\u00e8res naturelles organiques, n’ont que des avantages, et permettent de modifier le pH de votre sol<\/a>, si n\u00e9cessaire. La terre est ainsi enrichie \u00e0 peu de frais non seulement d’\u00e9l\u00e9ments nutritifs, mais aussi de fibres, qui laissent le sol moins poreux, moins sablonneux<\/a>. L’eau sera imm\u00e9diatement mieux retenue.<\/p>\n

La fibre, un mat\u00e9riau ligneux, joue un r\u00f4le essentiel pour am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de votre sol : elle all\u00e9ge un sol lourd et compact, mais elle aide un sol sablonneux \u00e0 retenir l’eau.<\/p>\n

Les jardiniers disent toujours, en riant, qu’il n’y a gu\u00e8re que les fientes de poule ou de dinde qui sont plus riches que le compost de jardin. Ils contiennent, de loin, plus riches en azote (N), phosphore (P) ou potassium (K) que l’\u00e9corce, la sciure de bois, la paille, la tourbe, ou m\u00eame la tourbe ou le fumier de cheval ou de vache. <\/p>\n

Eh oui, la fameuse bouse de vache est bien moins riche que le compost que vous pouvez cr\u00e9er vous-m\u00eame, et en plus elle est absorb\u00e9e trop rapidement. Le compost maison est donc un engrais long terme.<\/p>\n
