Passionn\u00e9 par la m\u00e9canique et les courses de motos, il les photographia intensivement pendant les ann\u00e9es 40 et 50. Encyclop\u00e9diste par enthousiasme, il \u00e9tait un fan avant d\u2019\u00eatre le t\u00e9moin privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 d\u2019une \u00e9poque trop vite r\u00e9volue. Il abandonna peu \u00e0 peu la photographie quand, par l\u2019entremise de son employeur d\u2019alors, Rockwell, il participa comme touche-\u00e0-tout de g\u00e9nie au programme spatial am\u00e9ricain et \u00e0 sa course vers la lune. Il fut l&rsquo;un de ces hommes qui, non seulement, v\u00e9cut \u00e0 plein le r\u00eave am\u00e9ricain, mais il participa pleinement \u00e0 le forger.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 en 2005 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 87 ans, il aimait toujours \u00e9pater la galerie en sortant d\u2019un de ses classeurs une image rare d\u2019une Triumph c\u00e9l\u00e8bre, ou mieux encore, un portrait d\u2019une jeune Norma Jean Baker. Cet homme, t\u00e9moin par son pi\u00e8ge \u00e0 \u0153il de tant de l\u00e9gendes, m\u00e9riterait la sienne.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/10\/11\/magill2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"337\"  alt=\"Magill2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2007\/10\/11\/magill2.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Prenez juste cette image, elle transcende toutes les \u00e9poques. Bien s\u00fbr, il y a des signes qui la datent, mais elle d\u00e9passe \u00e7a. Ce couple est la quintessence du cool.
