Compos\u00e9 de trois roues, une devant, deux derri\u00e8re, la machine appel\u00e9e \u00ab trike \u00bb fut d\u2019abord utilis\u00e9e en TT avant d\u2019\u00eatre remplac\u00e9e par le \u00ab quad \u00bb beaucoup plus stable. L\u2019engin \u00e0 trois roues, une devant-deux derri\u00e8re, porte en effet une tare r\u00e9dhibitoire: son comportement dynamique pour le moins douteux.<\/p>\n<p>Pour autant, des esprits tenaces n\u2019ont pas renonc\u00e9 a l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019une machine combinant les avantages de l\u2019automobile (confort, stabilit\u00e9\u2026) \u00e0 ceux du deux roues (maniabilit\u00e9, capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 se faufiler et plaisir de conduite).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/mp3_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"167\"  alt=\"Mp3_3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/mp3_3.jpg\" style=\"margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px;float: left\" \/><\/a> Ainsi naquit le concept de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.troisroues.com\/\">TTW<\/a>, acronyme anglo-saxon signifiant &quot; Tilting Three Wheeler &quot;, V\u00e9hicule Inclinable \u00e0 Trois Roues. Plus proches de la dynamique de fonctionnement d\u2019une moto que de celle d\u2019une automobile, ces engins fascinants se sont peu \u00e0 peu partiellement lib\u00e9r\u00e9s des tares d\u2019un trois roues conventionnel. Mais il manquait l\u2019id\u00e9e, \u00e9vidente en soi, de celles qui provoquent les \u00ab eur\u00e9ka ! \u00bb les \u00ab bon Dieu mais c\u2019est bien sur ! \u00bb l\u2019id\u00e9e consistant a inverser le probl\u00e8me : deux roues devant, une derri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fr.piaggio.com\/_vti_g5_1.asp?brand=PIAGGIO&amp;country=FR&amp;language=F\"> Piaggio<\/a> l\u2019a fait avec son scooter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fr.piaggio.com\/_vti_g5_1.asp?brand=PIAGGIO&amp;country=FR&amp;language=F\">MP3<\/a>. Un \u00e9trange train avant dot\u00e9 de deux roues ind\u00e9pendantes s\u00e9par\u00e9es de 42 cm, ayant&nbsp; chacune leur propre disque de frein et leur propre amortisseur. Le gain en maniabilit\u00e9 serait consid\u00e9rable (on demande a voir) le gain en stabilit\u00e9 aussi (cela semble plus \u00e9vident) en revanche l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des capacit\u00e9s de freinage coule de source en raison de la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un troisi\u00e8me disque et surtout du doublement \u00e0 l\u2019avant de la surface en contact avec le sol. Tout le monde sait que le freinage sur la(les) roue(s) avant, bien que plus d\u00e9licat a doser est aussi beaucoup plus efficace que le freinage sur roue arri\u00e8re (r\u00e9partition de 51% sur l\u2019avant et 49% sur l\u2019arri\u00e8re pour ce mod\u00e8le). R\u00e9sultat, la distance d\u2019arr\u00eat se trouve raccourcie de 20%, soit 28 m\u00e8tres pour passer de 100 \u00e0 0 km\/h au lieu de 37 m\u00e8tres. L\u2019adh\u00e9rence du train avant, notamment sur route humide, point faible des 2RM y gagne aussi beaucoup. Ce sont de v\u00e9ritables \u00ab plus \u00bb que certains n\u2019h\u00e9sitent pas \u00e0 qualifier de r\u00e9volutionnaires, malgr\u00e9 un poids de 200 kg qui donne \u00e0 penser que le 125 cm3 (15 ch) est sous-motoris\u00e9. Pour la route on lui pr\u00e9f\u00e8rera le 250 cm3 (22,5 ch). Une version 500 pourrait sortir plus tard.<\/p>\n<p> Enfin, Piaggio propose en option un syst\u00e8me \u00e9lectro-magn\u00e9tique de blocage de la suspension \u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat qui permet au scooter, une fois le frein \u00e0 main enclench\u00e9, de rester en position parfaitement verticale.
