Elle se pr\u00e9sente comme le premier gros monocylindre 4 temps japonais. D&#8217;embl\u00e9e, il reprend possession d&rsquo;un terrain laiss\u00e9 en friche apr\u00e8s la disparition de <strong>BSA<\/strong>, soit celui d&rsquo;une moto simple, sans m\u00eame pourvue de d\u00e9marreur, maniable, polyvalente. Seule, sa cadette 600 TENERE conna\u00eetra une estime similaire. En 1988, \u00e0 l&rsquo;heure de la retraite, la XT peut se targuer de constituer pas moins de la moiti\u00e9 du contingent des 220 000 exemplaires de Trail monocylindre vendus par YAMAHA jusque l\u00e0. <\/p>\n<p>La 500 XT a une identit\u00e9 \u00e0 laquelle elle a su faire adh\u00e9rer pour en compter des adeptes. Les clients des premiers XT 500 se voyaient ni plus ni moins remettre par YAMAHA un <strong>sticker<\/strong>, un <strong>\u00e9cusson<\/strong>, un <strong>poster<\/strong> couleur et un <strong>dipl\u00f4me personnalis\u00e9<\/strong>, pour bien marquer le coup d&rsquo;une entr\u00e9e dans un univers \u00e0 part. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/xt500dakar2006.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"282\" alt=\"Xt500dakar2006\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/xt500dakar2006.jpg\" width=\"250\"  \/><\/a>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, elle marque toujours les esprits. Un hollandais un peu fou, <strong>Henno VAN BERGEIJK<\/strong>, dossard 215, fait le DAKAR 2006 avec une XT 500. <\/p>\n<p>Pour les moins t\u00e9m\u00e9raires, du 18 f\u00e9vrier au 4 mars 2006 est organis\u00e9e la &quot;<strong>L\u00e9gende des H\u00e9roes<\/strong>&quot;, soit le DAKAR en XT organis\u00e9 par YAMAHA.
