Dans un premier temps, et de mani\u00e8re assez radicale, la f\u00e9d\u00e9ration avait souha\u00eet\u00e9 limiter la cylindr\u00e9e \u00e0 450 cm3. Mais la cons\u00e9quence collat\u00e9rale de voir dangereusement se r\u00e9duire comme peau de chagrin un plateau essentiellement compos\u00e9 de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/2005\/08\/ktm_se_retire_d.html\">KTM<\/a> 600 avait fait rebrousser chemin la f\u00e9d\u00e9ration. N\u00e9anmoins, le principe d&rsquo;une r\u00e9duction des moyennes chronom\u00e8triques n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas abandonn\u00e9 pour autant&#8230;&nbsp; &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Deux r\u00e9formes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9es pour ce faire: <strong>la limitation de la vitesse maxi \u00e0 160 km\/h, dont 50 km\/h dans les villages<\/strong>, avec p\u00e9nalit\u00e9s \u00e0 la cl\u00e9 en cas de non respect, et <strong>r\u00e9duction de l&rsquo;autonomie de 350 \u00e0 250 km.<\/strong> Par ailleurs, au cours du ravitaillement, <strong>repos obligatoire du <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/2005\/12\/lhomo_motardicu.html\"><strong>pilote<\/strong><\/a><strong> pendant 15 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/dakar2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"190\" alt=\"Dakar2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/dakar2.jpg\" width=\"250\"  \/><\/a>Regarder son compteur kilom\u00e8trique en pleine sp\u00e9ciale rel\u00e8ve de l&rsquo;illusion. D\u00e8s lors, pour que la barre des limitations de vitesse soit respect\u00e9e, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 mont\u00e9 des <strong>alarmes visuelles et\/ou sonores<\/strong>, pour pr\u00e9venir le pilote du d\u00e9passement. Impossible de faire autrement, les <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/2005\/12\/securite_on_ne_.html\">limiteurs<\/a> m\u00e9caniques n&rsquo;\u00e9tant pas adaptables, les motos n&rsquo;\u00e9tant pas \u00e9quip\u00e9es de l&rsquo;injection. Mais, d&rsquo;un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, les comp\u00e9titeurs ont saisi la balle au bond en essayant de profiter au maximum de cette nouvelle donne. Ainsi, certaines \u00e9curies se pr\u00e9sentent en 2006 avec des machines plus l\u00e9g\u00e8res, au r\u00e9servoir plus petit et dispos\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 abaisser au maximum le centre de gravit\u00e9. Le tout pour une optimisation des performances.
