Utilisant un 271 cm3, le Maxxer opte pour une ligne enti\u00e8rement nouvelle, m\u00eame si les plastiques restent  ceux du KXR. la diff\u00e9rence est beaucoup plus visible \u00e0 l\u2019avant qui montre un pare-chocs plus g\u00e9n\u00e9reux, des clignotants int\u00e9gr\u00e9s, des r\u00e9tros profil\u00e9s et un contacteur qui int\u00e8gre le tableau de bord. on notera que ce dernier n\u2019a pas vraiment \u00e9volu\u00e9 alors que la concurrence est d\u00e9j\u00e0 pass\u00e9e au tableau de bord digital.  <br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 moteur, on trouve un monocylindre 4T, refroidi par eau. D\u2019une cylindr\u00e9e de 271 cm3, il offre une puissance de 19,36 ch \u00e0 7000 tr\/mn.  <br \/> La transmission s\u2019effectue par un sch\u00e9ma 4X2 par cha\u00eene.<br \/> Bo\u00eete de vitesse : automatique \u00e0 variation continue, correcteur de couple et marche arri\u00e8re.<br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 cycle, le cadre tubulaire en acier est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d\u2019une suspension avant : ind\u00e9pendante \u00e0 doubles triangulations, amortisseurs hydrauliques.
