Conservant le gabarit du 25O, son ch\u00e2ssis s\u2019est vu renforc\u00e9 et de ce fait le 500 reste tr\u00e8s maniable et agile en ville. Le freinage int\u00e9grale reste toujours aussi s\u00e9curisant et permet un freinage rapide dans toutes les situations. Sur autoroute, le 500 reste stable dans la limite des vitesses autoris\u00e9es. Au del\u00e0, il d\u00e9\u00e7oit un peu. <br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 moteur, on trouve un monocylindre 4T injection, refroidi par eau, 1 ACT, 4 soupapes. D\u2019une cylindr\u00e9e de 460 cm3, il offre une puissance de 39 ch \u00e0 7250 tr\/mn.<br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 ch\u00e2ssis, le double berceau tubulaire en acier re\u00e7oit, \u00e0 l\u2019avant, une fourche hydraulique avec un d\u00e9battement de 90 mm et un frein \u00e0 disque de 260 mm dot\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9triers 2 pistons. A l\u2019arri\u00e8re, on trouve 2 amortisseurs r\u00e9glables avec un d\u00e9battement de 90 mm. Le freinage est assur\u00e9 par 1 disque de 240 mm dot\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9triers 2 pistons.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9quipement, le 500 est royal. Il poss\u00e8de un grand le coffre sous la selle qui peut loger un casque int\u00e9gral. L\u2019instrumentation de bord offre une quantit\u00e9 d&rsquo;informations : heure, kilom\u00e9trages totaux et partiels, temp\u00e9ratures ext\u00e9rieure et moteur, vitesse (avec m\u00e9morisation de la vitesse maxi), r\u00e9gime moteur, jauge \u00e0 essence, nombreux voyants (essence, warning, etc.). Sans oublier l&rsquo;antivol \u00e9lectronique, la fen\u00eatre de gestion de l&rsquo;intercom pilote\/passager de s\u00e9rie et la connexion d&rsquo;un t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable. C\u00f4t\u00e9 rangement, le vide-poches du tablier est peu utilisable, en raison de sa forme en escalier, et il faut l&rsquo;ouvrir afin d&rsquo;acc\u00e9der aux loquets commandant la selle et la trappe du bouchon d&rsquo;essence. Mais au moins, le passager b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d&rsquo;un accueil soign\u00e9 et de deux grosses poign\u00e9es. A noter aussi, la bulle r\u00e9glable en hauteur.
