Si le principe est identique avec un cadre double poutre enserrant le moteur et un amortisseur central, le cadre du GP1 utilise l\u2019aluminium.<br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 moteur, on retrouve le monocylindre  4T, 4 soupapes refroidi par eau d\u2019origine Piaggio  qui d\u00e9veloppe un puissance de 15 ch \u00e0 10 000 tr\/mn. <br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 ch\u00e2ssis, on trouve un cadre double poutre en alu qui re\u00e7oit, \u00e0 l\u2019avant, une fourche invers\u00e9e confirment le positionnement sport-touring du Derbi GP1. Le frein avant \u00e0 pince radial re\u00e7oit un disque de 245 mn. La suspension arri\u00e8re se compose d\u2019un mono-amortisseur r\u00e9glable de 90 mn et le freinage est assur\u00e9 par un disque de 200 mn. <\/p>\n<p>C\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9quipement, le Derbi accentue son c\u00f4t\u00e9 sportif avec 2 selles s\u00e9par\u00e9es, un gros compteur rond et des guidons bracelets. Le coffre sous la selle reste assez vaste et on peut y loger un casque int\u00e9gral.
